Launch of the Arts Factory in Les Cayes

Following its launch in Port-au-Prince (https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-39292-icihaiti-culture-creation-of-a-new-cultural-space-in-port-au-prince.html), the Fabrique des Arts - Arts Factory (Fabrik Atizay) announces its official launch in Les Cayes on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hôtel La Cayenne (by invitation only).

Led by a consortium comprised of FOKAL, the Centre d’Art, and the Association Quatre Chemins, and funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) as part of the TANBOU project (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-40190-haiti-project-tanbou-towards-the-construction-of-the-fabrique-des-arts.html), the "Fabrique des Arts" (Arts Factory) aims to support artistic creation in the South, promote access to spaces for expression and dissemination for artists, and strengthen access to culture.

Located in Les Cayes, the Fabrique is intended to be a dynamic space dedicated to :

• artistic creation;

• cultural dissemination;

• training and knowledge transfer;

• encounters between artists and the public.

Through its activities, the "Fabrique" aims to structure, promote, and amplify existing cultural initiatives in the region, offering artists a professional framework and opportunities for visibility.

The press conference on April 6 will bring together institutional partners, cultural stakeholders, and local figures, and will mark the start of two days of activities:
