As part of his tour of the Great South, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé visited the Coast Guard in Les Cayes, a key unit of the Haitian National Police (PNH) responsible for monitoring and securing maritime areas.

During this visit, the Prime Minister observed the concerning state of some infrastructure and the operational difficulties related to several vessels currently out of service.

Keen to strengthen the effectiveness of the security forces, he immediately instructed the relevant authorities to take the necessary steps to repair the disabled boats.

The Prime Minister also announced measures aimed at developing and modernizing the wharf to improve working conditions for officers and optimize the Coast Guard's response capabilities in the region.
