Mr. Franck Lauture, Director General of the National Institute for Vocational Training (INFP), on an evaluation tour, conducted a field visit to the Jacmel Vocational and Technical Training Center (CFPTJ), located in Bois-Boeuf.

This mission aimed to assess the center's operations and identify priority actions to enhance its effectiveness. On site, the Director General noted several significant challenges, including deteriorating infrastructure, an aging staff, and a decline in student enrollment.

Accompanied by Jude Pierre Michel Lafontant, the Southeast Departmental Delegate, and Loudie César, the Mayor of Jacmel, Me Lauture discussed revitalization plans with local officials.

Christian Duplan, the center's Director, noted that the CFPTJ offers several training programs, including sewing, carpentry, plumbing, computer science, electrical work, and building construction.

As its centenary approaches in November, it has appealed to public authorities for support to ensure the Center's continued existence and development.
