On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the Haitian National Police (PNH), through its Southern Anti-Narcotics Bureau (BLTS), conducted an operation that led to the arrest of two individuals accused of drug trafficking in Bergeaud, on National Road #2.

Jean François Joseph and Pierre Jean Félix were arrested in possession of three packages of narcotics. Preliminary tests carried out by BLTS agents revealed the presence of cocaine.

This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the PNH to combat drug trafficking throughout the country and represents the third seizure recorded in less than two weeks in the region.

The arrested individuals are currently in custody under the supervision of the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), pending further legal proceedings.
