On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), met with a Canadian delegation composed of Ms. Francine Sénécal, Ms. Suzie Leblanc, and Brien Pierre, during a working session dedicated to the Support for a Professional and Inclusive Police Force (APPI) project and the National Police Academy Strengthening Program (RANP). This meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of these initiatives, which aim in particular to improve the management of the PNH's human and material resources. Discussions also focused on coordination with several key entities, including the National Coordination for Women's Affairs and Gender Issues (CENAFQ), the Personnel Directorate, the Logistics Directorate, and the Chief Inspector General. Furthermore, the project to install a 540 kW photovoltaic power system was discussed, with the aim of replacing the diesel system currently used at the National Police Academy (ANP), in order to modernize and improve the sustainability of the infrastructure.
