From May 4th to 8, 2026, the Colombian Agency for Reintegration and Normalization (ARN) is undertaking an official visit to Haiti as part of South-South cooperation, in coordination with the Government of Colombia and the United Nations system.

This mission aims to support Haiti in its efforts to offer alternatives to youth trapped in cycles of violence, by promoting reconciliation, social inclusion, and peacebuilding.

After more than 70 years of armed conflict, Colombia has made significant progress toward peace, developing recognized expertise in disarmament, demobilization, reintegration, and reconciliation. This experience represents a valuable contribution that can be shared with Haiti in its own efforts toward stabilization and social development.

During this visit, the ARN delegation will hold high-level meetings with Haitian authorities, representatives of the United Nations, international organizations, and other stakeholders involved in peace, security, and social cohesion.
