On Tuesday, May 7, 2026, following the official draw held in Miami, our U-20 Grenadiers, coached by Angelo Jean-Baptiste, learned their opponents for the final phase of the 2026 CONCACAF U-20 Champions League.

It was a very tough draw for our Grenadiers, who find themselves in Group A alongside the United States, Cuba, and El Salvador.

The final phase will take place in Mexico from July 24 to August 9, 2026, with the 12 best teams in the region competing for the title.

As a reminder, our Grenadiers secured their place in this final phase by finishing top of Group D during the qualifiers in March 2026, notably after a decisive 2-1 victory against Curaçao (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-46987-haiti-u-20-world-cup-2027-qualifiers-haiti-qualifies-in-a-historic-comeback-video.html).

This tournament is crucial as it serves as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The four teams that reach the semi-finals will qualify directly.

This championship will also serve as a qualifier for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The objective: to finish among the top two teams in the group to secure direct entry to the quarter-finals. If they fail to qualify, they can still qualify as one of the two best third-placed teams.
