Gov is accelerating the implementation of the «Return to Quartier-Solino» pilot project

On Friday, May 8, 2026, Andrea Paulemon, Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, held a working session with engineer Pascal Oriol, coordinator of the "Return to the Solino Neighborhood" project, and Marie Christine Stephenson, Executive Secretary of the Interministerial Committee for Territorial Development (CIAT).

This meeting aligns with the Government's vision of facilitating the gradual, safe, and sustainable return of displaced populations to their neighborhoods.

Discussions focused primarily on the technical and budgetary structuring of the pilot project, with a view to its finalization. The discussions also addressed the need to conduct a thorough field study to ensure the project's effective, coherent, and sustainable implementation.

Minister Paulemon commended the project's approach, which will allow for the precise identification of the area's priority needs, the interventions to be prioritized, and the resources required for the project's effective implementation. This phase will contribute to defining a coherent operational framework capable of supporting concrete actions for the rehabilitation, development, and socio-economic revitalization of Solino.

Reaffirming her Ministry's commitment to supporting this initiative, Minister Paulemon emphasized that this pilot project represents a major step in the Government's efforts to stabilize communities, improve living conditions, and strengthen social cohesion.
