On Monday, May 11, 2026, the Ministry of Defense announced that a contingent of 25 soldiers from the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) departed for Martinique as part of a specialized training program aimed at strengthening the operational and institutional capacities of the FAd’H.

This contingent of Haitian soldiers is the 6th to benefit from this cooperation since the implementation of the SABRE partnership between France and Haiti, designed to enhance the operational capabilities of the FAd’H.

This initiative aligns with the strategic vision of the Government of Haiti and the Ministry of Defense to modernize, professionalize, and strengthen the FAd’H through international cooperation partnerships.

The Ministry of Defense reiterates its gratitude to the French Government and to Antoine Michon, French Ambassador to Haiti, for the technical, logistical, and educational support provided to the Armed Forces of Haiti within the framework of this cooperation.
