Intensification of PNH's operations in the West and Artibonite departments

The Haitian National Police (PNH) reports that it is continuing its relentless anti-gang and anti-terrorist operations and interventions in several strategic areas across the country, particularly in the West and Artibonite departments.

In Artibonite, police operations are primarily focused on the localities of Croix Périsse (described as the terrorist group's stronghold) and Jean-Denis. Several armored vehicles have been deployed as part of this operation, which is being conducted with the support of the task force. Specialized units are carrying out a continuous offensive directly against the bases of the "Kokorat San Ras" terrorist group, which has allowed law enforcement to dismantle the terrorists' capabilities so they can no longer disturb the peace of citizens. The results indicate that approximately ten suspected terrorists have been fatally wounded and that the police have seized at least seven rifles.

Meanwhile, in the Cul-de-Sac Plain, in the West Department, major operations are underway against rival gangs attempting to sow discord in several localities, including Sarthe, Duvivier, Pierre 6, and Terre Noire. Law enforcement has regained control of several strategic areas, recovered numerous weapons, and eliminated several bandits. At the home of gang leader "Chen Mechan" in Santo, in the area known as "Las Vegas" law enforcement successfully entered and fatally wounded several bandits who had established their base there.

The police will continue to conduct operations and interventions until order and peace are restored to these areas. The PNH is asking the public to cooperate with the police and share any useful information that could help combat these terrorist gangs.
