DINEPA : 2026 Performance Internship Program

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) launched the Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) Sector Strengthening Internship Program at a ceremony held at the Karibe Convention Center.

This important program aims to promote the professional integration of recent university graduates into the strategic drinking water and sanitation sector in Haiti. A total of 120 interns from various universities and vocational schools across the country were selected for the 2026 cohort.

Through this initiative, DINEPA intends to strengthen the technical and professional skills of young people while contributing to the sustainable improvement of drinking water and sanitation services in the country. The program is supported by the Haitian Government, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Spanish Cooperation, UNICEF, and the Port-au-Prince Metropolitan Area Technical Operations Center.

In his address, Eng. Théophile Ostinvil, Director General of DINEPA, emphasized the importance of building bridges between universities and public institutions to promote youth employment and national development. He reiterated that the drinking water and sanitation sector is a crucial driver of public health, environmental protection, and the country's economic growth.

The EPA 2026 Internship Program covers several areas of expertise, including civil engineering, the environment, hydraulics, electromechanics, administrative sciences, legal sciences, procurement, water quality, information technology, human resources, statistics, plumbing, and electricity.
