On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Haitian inline skater Gesny Pierre-Louis, a native of Cité Soleil and living in Chile since 2017, won first place in the Free Jump Senior category at the 2nd National Inline Freestyle Ranking, which took place from May 15 to 17, 2026, in Quito, Ecuador.

"Gesny Pierre-Louis's victory is a source of immense pride for all Haitians," declared Minister Verdier, adding, "This victory clearly demonstrates the ability, discipline, and determination of Haitian youth to push their limits and raise the blue and red flag high throughout the world.
