The Haitian government is providing support to two Haitian citizens in distress in Turkey and Malaysia.

The first case involves Mardoche Bazile, a young Haitian professional soccer player, who fell victim to a scam involving a fake sports contract. Stranded in Malaysia for over three and a half months, without sufficient resources or the possibility of an immediate return to Haiti, he was living in dire circumstances.

The second case is that of Ms. Tamouskar Chéry, who was in Turkey in precarious conditions after receiving a deportation order. Lacking the financial means to return to Haiti, she faced a critical humanitarian situation.

In response to these two urgent situations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Haitian Embassy in Vietnam, mobilized to provide assistance to two Haitian citizens facing particularly concerning circumstances in Turkey and Malaysia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken the necessary steps to facilitate their repatriation and provide them with appropriate assistance.

This intervention demonstrates the Haitian authorities' commitment to protecting and supporting Haitian citizens living abroad, particularly those facing difficult circumstances around the world.
