World Cup 2026 : Massive distribution of large-format TVs, among other things...

On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, at the Villa d’Accueil, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé presided over the official ceremony for the distribution of the Ayiti nan Mondyal audiovisual kits to local authorities.

This initiative is part of the Support Program for Local Authorities in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. The ceremony took place in the presence of Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé, Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities, members of the Government, as well as representatives of the National Federation of Haitian Mayors (FENAMH), Denoil Anténor, and the National Federation of Municipal Section Administrative Councils of Haiti (FENACAH), Paul André. It demonstrates the State's commitment to strengthening public mobilization around Haiti's historic participation in its second World Cup, 52 years later.

Comprising, among other things, 100-inch (254 cm diagonal screen) PANAS televisions (made in China), generators, and internet connection equipment, these kits will be distributed to the country's 571 communal sections and 147 communes, enabling the population to watch the national team's matches live from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Each communal section will receive a kit including:

• 1 television (made in China);

• 1 generator (made in China);

• 1 internet connection kit;

• 1 month of prepaid internet service;

• 1 ration of fuel for the generator;

• 1 USB drive containing public service and awareness messages to be broadcast before, during, and after the matches.

Furthermore, sixteen (16) public spaces will be equipped with giant screens across the country, notably in Jérémie, Cap-Haïtien, Les Cayes, Jacmel, Gonaïves, Port-au-Prince, Pétion-Ville, Hinche, Ouanaminthe, Saint-Marc, and other strategic cities.

In his address, Minister Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé welcomed the fulfillment of this government promise to local communities.

Prime Minister Fils-Aimé emphasized the historic significance of Haiti's qualification and praised the national team's recent victory against New Zealand in a friendly match. He also reaffirmed the Government's commitment to strengthening the capacities of the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) to ensure a secure environment conducive to the organization of the upcoming general elections.
