On Monday, June 22, 2026, the Maurice A. Sixto Foundation concluded the "Rebirth Through Art" project, supported by UNESCO through the Heritage Emergency Fund, which aimed to assist populations affected by the crisis in Haiti.

For several weeks, 20 young people from displaced persons camps in Port-au-Prince participated in workshops in forum theater, painting, dance, and slam poetry. These activities provided them with a space for expression, creation, and dialogue, in a context marked by the human consequences of forced displacement.

The closing ceremony showcased the participants' work and celebrated their commitment through testimonials, artistic performances, and the presentation of certificates.

Through this initiative, the Maurice A. Sixto Foundation and UNESCO helped create a space where art becomes a tool for expression, confidence, and personal reconstruction.
