On Thursday, June 25, 2026, as part of the Program to Support Agricultural and Fisheries Productivity and Improve Rural Infrastructure for Market Access (PAPAIR), Agronomist Marcelin Aubour, Minister of Agriculture, conducted the provisional acceptance of the rehabilitation work on the Carrefour Lory-Bakiny road section in the commune of Milot, North Department.

Led by the Minister, this mission allowed for verification of the conformity of the completed works, an assessment of their progress, and the collection of feedback from the supervisory firms and the contracting company. Any technical reservations raised must be addressed before the final acceptance of the project.

Funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in the North, in partnership with the Haitian government, PAPAIR is part of the rural infrastructure modernization policy implemented by the government. Through this program, the authorities intend to improve access to production areas, strengthen agricultural productivity, and support efforts to create a climate conducive to security and the smooth running of the upcoming elections.
