As part of the Haitian Fruit and Vegetable Production Development Project, the Taiwan Technical Mission (ICDF) team (Republic of China) recently organized a training session on papaya cultivation and seed production techniques. Thirty participating farmers participated in a day of training and technical exchange to strengthen their papaya cultivation skills.

This training focused primarily on managing young plants and post-transplanting care. Through practical demonstrations and on-site explanations, the farmers received step-by-step guidance to master best cultivation practices, reduce plant mortality, promote vigorous growth, and improve fruit quality and future yields.

Throughout the training, participants demonstrated great enthusiasm, attentively following the instruction and actively sharing their experiences.

The Taiwan Technical Mission team is confident that these young papaya plants, once transplanted, will benefit from a higher survival rate and more vigorous growth. They will also contribute to the gradual dissemination of quality papaya varieties, bringing new impetus and greater hope to the development of the fruit and vegetable sector in Haiti.
