iciHaïti - Paris : 4th edition of the annual International gathering of the United Women's Collective

As part of the 4th annual gathering of the United Women Collective at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, in the lead-up to the International Day of African and Afro-descendant Women (IDAW) on July 31, 2026, Macdalie Pierre-Louis, Northwest Departmental Director of the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights (MCFDF), represented the Ministry in the absence of the Minister, Pedrica Saint Jean.

This important international meeting brought together women leaders, representatives of institutions and civil society organizations from the United States, France, several African and Caribbean countries, and the Haitian diaspora. The event provided a valuable platform to highlight women's contributions and strengthen discussions on promoting their rights.

On this occasion, Macdalie Pierre-Louis received an honorary award from the organizers of International Women's Day (IWD) and the United Women Collective, in recognition of her commitment to promoting and defending women's rights. Accepting this award with humility, she dedicated it to the entire team at the Ministry, particularly Minister Pedrica Saint Jean, as well as to the nine other Departmental Directorates, whose daily work contributes to strengthening public policies for women and girls in Haiti.

This international recognition reflects the growing visibility of the actions undertaken by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights. It also serves as an encouragement to continue collective efforts in favor of gender equality, social justice, and respect for women's fundamental rights.

Macdalie Pierre-Louis expressed her deep gratitude to Minister Pedrica Saint Jean for the trust placed in her, as well as to all the teams at the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights for their unwavering commitment to this noble mission.
