2026 World Cup : Triumphant welcome for our 3 Grenadiers in Port-au-Prince

After their arrival in Cap-Haïtien on Sunday, July 5, 2026, our three World Cup heroes—Duckens Nazon, Martin Expérience, and Josué Duverger—were welcomed on Tuesday, July 7, on the tarmac of Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince by Pythagore Dumas, the Minister of Youth and Sports (MJSAC), accompanied by several members of the government.

Received at the entrance to the airport's diplomatic lounge by the MJSAC protocol service, they were greeted inside by Kathia Verdier, the Minister for Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), Emmanuel Ménard, Minister of Culture and Communication, Stéphanie Smith, the Minister of Tourism, and the new Secretary of State for Communication, Lucien Jura.

After posing for photos with government officials, they headed to the Museum of the Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH) at the Champ de Mars, where a jubilant crowd awaited them. During a ceremony imbued with patriotism, the Grenadiers received plaques of honor in recognition of their commitment and their contribution to Haiti's international standing. They then laid a wreath at the feet of the heroes of Independence, as a sign of gratitude to the founders of the nation.

The festive atmosphere continued outside MUPANAH, where Raram No Limit entertained those who had come to thank these three globalists. On behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister Emmanuel Ménard officially declared all the Grenadiers "National Treasures" a symbolic distinction recognizing their exceptional contribution to Haiti's international standing. They then departed for the Karibe Hotel, where the government hosted an official dinner in honor of the delegation, bringing together several public figures alongside the Grenadiers.

The Grenadiers left the Champs de Mars to the frenzied cheers of a crowd who had come to pay them a well-deserved tribute !

Taking advantage of this occasion, the Mayor of Thomazeau, Josette Cyprien, decorated the Grenadiers present and entrusted Captain Duckens Nazon with the medals intended for the absent players. Outside the hotel, the Silibo Band extended the festivities with a performance that reinforced the spirit of celebration and unity.

Visibly moved and satisfied, the three Grenadiers canceled their trip to spend the night in Port-au-Prince with their families.

The day ended with a lavish reception hosted by the government in honor of these "National Treasures" who valiantly wore and defended the national colors.
