On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, the Haitian National Police Intervention Group (GIPNH-SWAT) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a thanksgiving mass at its base in Clercine 8, in the commune of Tabarre.

The ceremony brought together the representative of the Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), Inspector General Joseph Plonquet, members of the unit, and guests to mark these three decades of service.

Since its creation on July 8, 1996, this unit has remained committed to public safety, staying true to its motto : "Loyalty, Honor, Trust".
