Stéphanie Smith, the Minister of Tourism, warmly welcomes the visit to Haiti of Dany Laferrière (73), internationally renowned writer, member of the French Academy, and exceptional ambassador of Haitian identity, culture, and ingenuity.

Through his life and voice, Dany Laferrière has contributed for decades to promoting Haiti far beyond its borders. His presence in our country is a powerful symbol : that of a nation that continues to inspire, create, and amaze.

Following the "Vin Gade Ayiti" campaign, the Ministry invites Haitians in the diaspora, as well as all lovers of Haiti, to return and discover the exceptional places that make our country so unique : Môle Saint-Nicolas, Jacmel, Port-Salut, Ennery, the Hot Springs, Bassin Bleu, Port-à-l’Écu, Île à Rat, Camp-Perrin, Milot, and so many other wonders.

Every trip is an act of trust. Every visit is an encounter with our history, our culture, our communities, and our hospitality.

"Vin Gade Ayiti" is more than just an invitation to travel. It's a call to reconnect with our roots, to rediscover the beauty of our country, and to participate, together, in its flourishing.

According to our sources, Dany is expected to stay in Haiti for approximately two weeks.
