On Monday, July 20, 2026, as announced, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) successfully launched voter registration operations in 8 departments, with the exception of the West Department.

Present in the field, the Councilors officially opened several Registration and Voting Centers (CIVs) that day.

Citizens, equipped with their valid National Identification Cards (CINs), took the opportunity to register to vote in preparation for the upcoming election.

The operations are ongoing and will gradually expand to all departments and municipalities across the country.

By launching this operational phase, the CEP reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the continuity of republican order and to providing the Haitian people with a credible, transparent, and peaceful electoral framework. In a context marked by security and institutional challenges, the State is fully exercising its sovereign prerogatives to ensure the regularity of the election and preserve the legitimacy of the future authorities.
