The Haiti's Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), in order to encourage as many political parties as possible to form alliances and to regroup within the timeframe stipulated by the electoral calendar (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-48085-haiti-flash-2026-2027-electoral-calendar-latest-official-version.html), grants the following extensions :

Formation of political party alliances : August 4-6, 2026

Publication of the final list of approved political party alliances: August 8, 2026

The registration period for political alliances remains unchanged: August 10-14, 2026.

The CEP reaffirms its commitment to conducting the electoral process in an inclusive and impartial manner, in strict accordance with the principles of independence, transparency, integrity, and democratic accountability.

It should be noted that the 17 political party groups registered with the Electoral Council have not yet been approved to participate in the upcoming elections. The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) is currently reviewing their applications in preparation for publishing the list of approved groups.
