CFU Challenge Series 2026 : Minister Dumas met with the U-14 Grenadiers (Match schedule)

Earlier this week, Pythagore Dumas, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), paid an official visit to Dilaire, a communal section of Ouanaminthe, in the Northeast Department, to meet with the young Grenadiers of the national under-14 men's football team, currently in training camp in preparation for their participation in the CFU Challenge Series 2026, which will take place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from August 16 to 23.

During this meeting, Minister Dumas spoke with the young Grenadiers and the coaching staff, including head coach Jean-Marc Alexandre and assistant coach Charles Hérold Junior (https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-48087-jean-marc-alexandre-and-charles-herold-junior-take-charge-of-the-grenadiers-u-14.html). He commended the discipline, dedication, and hard work of the players and their coaches, urging them to continue their training with determination, humility, and a spirit of sacrifice.

The Minister reminded them that wearing the national jersey is an immense privilege, but also a responsibility to the entire nation.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of the CFU Challenge Series, a competition that represents a crucial step in the development of young Caribbean footballers. A true showcase for the region's future talents, this tournament offers young international players the opportunity to compete at a high level, gain international experience, and continue their progression toward the senior ranks of the national team.

Following the draw held the previous day, the Grenadiers now know their opponents :

August 17 : French Guiana vs. Haiti

August 18 : Trinidad and Tobago vs. Haiti

August 19 : Puerto Rico vs. Haiti

Minister Pythagore Dumas reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Civic Action (MJSAC) to supporting national youth teams and investing in the development of Haiti's next generation of athletes, in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé. He wished the young Grenadiers every success and encouraged them to demonstrate discipline, solidarity, and patriotism in order to represent Haiti with honor throughout this competition.
