As the patron saint's day of Saint Suzanne approaches, celebrated on August 11, Joseph Almathe Pierre-Louis, Minister of Public Works (MTPTC), through his Northeast Departmental Directorate (DDNE), has intensified road infrastructure work to improve traffic flow and facilitate the movement of pilgrims and visitors.

As part of these preparations, several projects have been launched. On the section of road linking Trou-du-Nord to Saint Suzanne, teams are carrying out scarification and resurfacing to rehabilitate the road. Simultaneously, in the municipality of Ouanaminthe, cleanup and debris removal work is underway, along with excavations for the construction of drainage ditches on the main street, and resurfacing with the addition of materials planned before the festivities begin.

These coordinated efforts aim to make the main roads more accessible, improve overall accessibility to the region, and ensure a better welcome for the thousands of pilgrims expected.
