NOTICE : Police certificate for election candidates 12/08/2026 10:00:07
The Haitian National Police (PNH), through its Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), informs those interested in running for office in the upcoming elections that a police certificate is required as part of the application process. This procedure applies to candidates at all levels of the upcoming elections, including those aspiring to the positions of Communal Section Administrative Councilor (ASEC), Municipal Councilor, Deputy, Senator, and President of the Republic. The DCPJ informs candidates that applications for a police certificate can be submitted to the relevant Departmental Judicial Police Services (SDPJ), depending on their place of residence or the regulations established by the competent authorities. Required documents : A receipt from the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI); A copy of the National Identification Card (CIN); A copy of the birth certificate or an extract from the National Archives; Two recent passport-size photos on a white background; A copy of the marriage certificate, for married women; A letter of application; A copy of the passport's biometric page (recommended). The DCPJ encourages applicants to prepare all of these documents before beginning their application and to ensure that the documents provided are legible, valid, and meet the established requirements, in order to facilitate the processing of their application.
