Thursday August 13, 2026, Pythagore Dumas the Minister of Youth and Sports (MJSAC) announced the construction of a multi-sports field and an infirmary at the Horatius Laventure High School for the benefit of 3,000 young people.

A synergy between the MJSAC, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Public Health and the Delmas Town Hall was formed with a view to providing, as quickly as possible, the Horatius Laventure High School, based in Delmas 75, with a multi-sports field and an infirmary. This initiative will allow more than 3,000 young people to play basketball and volleyball.

The Minister indicated that the Department of Infrastructure and Equipment of his Ministry is already hard at work to realize this project, long awaited by the young people of the town of Delmas.

This is an important infrastructure through which the State will guarantee the right to leisure and health care to all young people attending this large educational establishment. The project will be completed before the next school year and the Center will be equipped with qualified human resources, specified Minister Dumas.

Daddy Charles, the Director of the high school, congratulated this initiative which will create a more complete school environment adapted to the development needs of young people.
