Industry Week 2026 in Haiti 21/08/2026 10:31:21
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) announces the holding of Industry Week 2026, under the high patronage of the Prime Minister's Office. The event will take place on September 3, 4, and 5, 2026, at the Caribe Hotel and the El Rancho Convention Center in Pétion-ville. Under the theme "Towards Revitalizing the Haitian Industrial Sector" this initiative aims to showcase Haitian businesses, products, skills, and expertise, while fostering dialogue among government officials, industrialists, investors, technical and financial partners, training institutions, and other stakeholders involved in the development of the industrial sector. During these three days, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the potential, challenges, and prospects of Haitian industry, particularly in terms of domestic production, investment, innovation, skills development, digital transformation, and job creation. Several activities are planned, including company visits, conferences and debates, a career fair, an industrial showcasing Haitian businesses, products, and expertise, as well as various socio-cultural activities. Through this initiative, the MCI reaffirms its commitment to supporting industrial stakeholders, fostering promising initiatives, facilitating investment, and contributing to improving the business environment in order to sustainably strengthen the competitiveness of Haitian industry. As James Monazard, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, emphasized, “There is genuine Haitian industrial expertise. We don’t just want resilience; we want growth.” Industry Week will also be an opportunity for Ministry officials to pay tribute to individuals who have contributed, through their commitment and work, to the development of the Haitian industrial sector. The Ministry invites businesses, professional organizations, public and private institutions, technical and financial partners, training institutions, youth, the media, and the entire population to participate in this important initiative aimed at promoting and developing Haitian industry. "Together, let’s make revitalizing Haitian industry a priority and a driver of production, innovation, employment, and development," said Minister Monazard. IH/ iciHaiti
