PNH : Plan to reform its vehicle fleet (2025-2027)
The Haitian National Police (PNH) presented its plan for standardizing and reforming the management of its vehicle fleet for the period 2025-2027 during a meeting with international partners. The meeting brought together representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Organization of American States (OAS), International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), the U.S. Embassy, and the Canadian Embassy, as well as several PNH officials, including Inspector General Alain Auguste, Central Director of Administration and General Services; Divisional Commissioner Dumond Luckner, Director of Logistics; Divisional Commissioner Erna Royal; and Chief Commissioner Hugue Dardignac. This plan aims, in particular, to standardize the vehicle fleet, replenish the strategic stockpile, modernize garages, enhance the training of mechanics and drivers, and digitize the administrative and technical tracking of vehicles. Furthermore, among the priorities are the acquisition of armored vehicles and all-terrain vehicles to strengthen the Institution's operational capabilities. This reform should allow the PNH to strengthen its operational mobility, improve the maintenance of its vehicle fleet, and optimize its resource management, in order to better support security operations throughout the national territory.
