The Haitian Socca Federation (FHS) announces that the Haitian national Socca team will not participate in the 2026 Socca World Cup, to be held in Essen, Germany, from August 28 to September 6, 2026.

Haiti, which had qualified for this international competition for the third time, was forced to withdraw due to major consular difficulties encountered by the national delegation, even after they had traveled to the German consular services in the Dominican Republic. These difficulties could not be resolved within the allotted time, despite the efforts undertaken and the active support of high-level Haitian and international organizations. Haiti was scheduled to begin its campaign on August 28 against Kazakhstan, the defending champions.

The Federation wishes to commend the courage, professionalism, and dedication of all the players and coaching staff who prepared themselves with unwavering commitment for this competition. It also expresses its profound gratitude to all the institutions and individuals who worked tirelessly to find a positive resolution to this situation.

The FHS remains fully committed to the development of Soca in Haiti and intends to learn from this experience to be in the best possible condition for future international competitions. It invites the Haitian community, wherever they may be, to continue to believe in Haitian youth and their ability to proudly represent the blue and red colors on the world stage. New initiatives will be announced soon.
