In order to protect the population of Léogâne from the panic caused by terrorists threatening the city, the Léogâne City Hall is adopting measures and reminding residents of other legal provisions already in effect.

Measures in effect :

• Curfew : All vehicular traffic is suspended from 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM;

• All residents must carry identification when in public;

• Motorcycle and car drivers are prohibited from driving with a balaclava or a helmet with tinted visors;

• Motorcycle and car owners must obtain authorization from the City Hall to allow another person to drive their vehicle;

• All house rental agreements must be registered with the City Hall;

• You must inform the City Hall if you are going to host someone in your home for a short or long period;

• All religious activities, such as Voodoo ceremonies, church services, and night vigils/masses, must cease at 10:00 p.m.

• All clubs, restaurants, bars, hotels, and other entertainment venues must close at 10:00 p.m.

- The Mayor's office and other relevant authorities will place children found on the street under observation in a designated area for the necessary period;

- The police will arrest any citizen harboring individuals who have committed criminal acts;

The municipal administration is counting on the cooperation of the entire population, especially law enforcement and police officers, to ensure compliance with these measures.
