The Southeast Departmental Directorate of the Haitian National Police (DDSE-PNH) conducted an operation in the localities of Monchil and Saint-Hélène (Jacmel district) during which police arrested 11 people, including Dabady Mimose, Jean Francky, Marie Antoinette Alexandra Laurent, and Chérubin Sony, identified as drug traffickers. Police seized 2.6 kg of marijuana, four scales, 18,095 gourdes, and a large quantity of tobacco.

During interrogations by the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ), the suspects confessed to engaging in the illegal marijuana trade. Jean Francky and Chérubin Sony also stated that they traveled to the South Department to make wholesale purchases, particularly in the cities of Les Cayes and Île-à-Vache.

The PNH has already initiated legal proceedings to bring the suspects to justice. Furthermore, the National Police is taking this opportunity to ask the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
