The Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) report that a serious incident occurred in Thomassin 32. A member of the military murdered his former partner.

After fleeing, the individual surrendered to military authorities, who immediately arrested and detained him.

The exact motives for this murder remain unknown at this time and will be investigated by the competent judicial authorities.

In accordance with the General Regulations and the strict requirements of military discipline, the accused was sanctioned and immediately dismissed from the FAd’H and handed over without delay to the Haitian National Police (PNH), who were then referred to the competent judicial authorities for legal proceedings.

The High Command reaffirms that this isolated act cannot in any way tarnish the collective discipline, cohesion, and moral integrity of the Armed Forces of Haiti.

In this painful circumstance, the Armed Forces of Haiti extend their deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim. The military institution expresses its republican compassion and assures the family of its complete solidarity and full cooperation to ensure that justice is served to the fullest extent of the law.
