On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Haitian National Police (PNH) informed the public that it had regained full control of the localities of Gode, Vya-1, Vya-2, and Bwa Davril in Kenscoff, areas recently occupied by terrorist groups. Law enforcement successfully dislodged these criminals and recaptured the last remaining area, Bwa Davril, on Friday, September 25, 2026, thanks to a series of forceful offensives.

These advances are the result of a strategic operation that the police force launched two weeks prior in the commune. During these offensives, units confronted the terrorists with great determination. Several terrorists were fatally wounded, while others wounded in exchanges of gunfire with law enforcement fled.

The PNH will continue to increase its presence and operations relentlessly in the commune. The police are committed to continuing operations until they have tracked down the last remnants of terrorist bandits seeking to sow discord in the community, in order to restore peace and security for all the residents of Kenskoff.
