Port-au-Prince hosted the first National Symposium of Women Referees in Haiti. Organized under the auspices of the Refereeing Directorate, with the support of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) and the National Referees Commission (CONA), the event brought together 50 referees from all ten departments of the country (September 22-27, 2026).

For six days, the participants followed a program focused on modern refereeing standards: methodology and new FIFA guidelines, physical and technical preparation, video analysis, tactical understanding, and the psychology of refereeing. The theoretical and practical sessions allowed them to strengthen their knowledge, physical fitness, and decision-making skills.

Beyond the technical and physical aspects, the symposium also distinguished itself through its human and inclusive approach. Special attention was given to a breastfeeding referee, who benefited from suitable accommodation allowing her to be accompanied by her baby and family and to complete the entire training program in optimal conditions.

Through this investment in training and physical preparation, the FHF, through its Refereeing Department and the CONA, continues to build a strong, professional, and forward-looking women's refereeing sector.
