Selection of the next FAd’H recruits for the South, North and Centre regions

The Ministry of Defense announces that the selection process for the next class of recruits to the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) officially began on Monday, October 12, 2026, with candidates from the Greater South, from the departments of South, Southeast and Grand’Anse.

The process will continue on Tuesday, October 13, with applicants from the North, specifically from the North, Northeast, and Northwest departments. On Wednesday, October 14, candidates from the Central, Artibonite, and Nippes departments will take part in the various assessments.

Given the particularly high number of applications registered in the West department, the candidates pre-selected there will be evaluated starting next week, according to the schedule established by the Recruitment Commission. The West department has a larger quota than the other departments.

Following all the required assessments and verifications, the 700 candidates with the best results will be selected to join the Training Center and form the next class of recruits for the Armed Forces of Haiti.

The candidates summoned will have to undergo the various tests included in the selection process, notably medical, physical, psychological, and intellectual evaluations.

Learn more about the nature of the tests :

Medical Tests : These tests verify the candidate's general health. Blood pressure problems, tattoos, piercings, or certain visible infections may result in immediate medical disqualification;

Physical Tests : These tests the physical condition, endurance, and athletic abilities required for military service (running, rope climbing, abdominal exercises);

Intellectual Tests : These evaluate the applicants' academic level, comprehension, and general aptitudes;

Psychological tests and interviews : These assess the candidate's psychological stability, discipline, stress resistance, and motivation.
