At the invitation of the Haitian Social Movement (MOSHA), and as part of the "Cultures Solidaires" (Solidarity Cultures) event, taking place in Saint-Denis, France, beginning October 17, 2026, Roberson Mimy, the Mayor of Léogâne, and Ansky Hilaire, the Director of Cultural Affairs, are currently visiting the commune of Saint-Denis.

Upon their arrival, the representatives from the Léogâne municipal government were welcomed by Jean Durand, President of MOSHA, and Djeananhe Maculov Mentor, a student from Léogâne who resides in France.

During their stay, the representatives from the Léogâne municipal government will have the opportunity to visit historical sites linked to Haiti’s history, as well as several cultural institutions. The program also includes meetings and discussions with potential partners, cultural associations, and various Haitian and French organizations.

This initiative aims to strengthen cultural and institutional ties, explore new avenues for cooperation, and foster the development of partnerships that will benefit the community of Léogâne.

Through this endeavor, the Léogâne municipal government seeks to promote the cultural influence of the "City of Anacaona" while encouraging exchanges and cooperative initiatives between Haiti and France.
