Grand Final of the National Advocacy and Eloquence Competition (Winners)

On Friday, October 23, 2026, the grand finale of the national advocacy and eloquence Competition, organized by the Office of the Citizen’s Protection (OPC) under the theme "Women’s Rights and Elections", took place at the Hotel Montana in Pétion-Ville.

The ceremony was attended by Patrick Pélissier, Minister of Justice and Public Security; Electoral Councilor Yves Marie Édouard; and the Citizen’s Protector, Jean Wilner Morin. Through this initiative, the OPC placed youth at the heart of a civic dialogue concerning human rights, gender equality, and the challenges surrounding the representation of women in democratic life.

The contest was divided into two categories : secondary school and university. At the conclusion of the competition, Lisa Faïmi Joseph, a former student of the Institution Saint-Louis de Bourdon, won the secondary school category with a score of 83 out of 100. She received a prize of 50,000 gourdes, a laptop, and the opportunity for a one-year internship at the OPC.

In the university category, the first prize went to Daïna Silfise, a student at the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences (FDSE), who delivered a brilliant argument on the theme "Women’s Rights and Elections".

Speaking at the event, the Citizen’s Protector, Jean Wilner Morin, congratulated the finalists and advocated for the greater integration of women into Haitian political life.

In her remarks, Minister Pedrica Saint Jean commended the initiative, noting that it contributes to the promotion of human rights and the development of critical thinking and civic engagement among young people. She also congratulated the participants on the quality of their contributions, highlighting the potential of Haitian youth and their capacity to take part in discussions regarding the major challenges facing society.
