First Dominicans tourists in Haiti in September

Mr. Jean Bernard Simonnet, the President of the Tourist Association of Haiti North (ATH-Nord), indicated that the agreement concluded between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, designed to make visit the Dominican Republic and Haiti, instead of a single destination, will materialize. He argues that from September the tourists visiting the Dominican Republic [and who take a multi-destination package] will also visit Haiti.

An access ramp at the Town Hall of Petion ville

The Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Disabled Persons, with the support of "Christian Blind Mission" (CBM), built an access ramp at the entrance of the building housing the Town Hall of Petion-Ville to facilitate access to citizens in wheelchairs. Meanwhile, USAID is currently undertaking, following the intervention of the Secretary of State Gérald Oriol Jr., the renovation of the Place Saint Pierre in order to make space accessible to the disabled.

Models of the new cultural center of Jacmel

Jean Mario Dupuy, the Minister of Culture organized a working session Thursday with Henri Robert Jolibois, the Director General of the Institute of National Heritage Preservation and the Spanish firm "Patrimonio 48", specializing in conservation of monuments. This meeting took place around the continuing work of transformation of the former civilian prison of Jacmel into a cultural center, on this occasion, the models of the new cultural center have been presented to the Minister.

DINEPA sign a concession agreement

The National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) via the Technical Centre of exploitation of the metropolitan area, and some sixty water committees have signed a concession agreement of management of water distribution network. The signed document states the following conditions: recall of contractual obligations and responsibilities of both parties, network operating mechanism (pricing, billing, account management and provisioning), compensation of members of the committee. These water committees come from 6 municipalities of the metropolitan area.
