The Ministry of Culture is preparing to apply for the recognition by UNESCO, of cultural practices falling within the intangible heritage of Haiti. On this occasion, September 20 has been declared National Day of Haitian heritage. The French Institute in Haiti who participates in this event will receive two conferences. The first at the beginning of the afternoon will focus on the Haitian tales and the second in the late afternoon on the martial art of stick. Donation of 20 corn mills and pistachio...
Within the framework of its cooperation with Haiti, the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Embassy of the Republic of China has decided to fund the Project of Support to the development of agribusiness in the communal sections of the Department of North West. This project involves the installation of 20 corn mills and "pistachio" for the transformation of maize in ground corn and "pistachio" in peanut butter.
New generation of Haitian slammers
The Collective Hors-Jeu will animate of introductory workshops to slam every day of the week from 10:00 to 12:00 am. Between theoretical introduction to the history and the founding principles of slam and practice, the workshop of twenty students participate fully in the development of a new generation of Haitian slammers. Contest of the most beautiful picture of the Carnival of Flowers
The Minister of Culture Jean Mario Dupuy proceeded to the awards ceremony of the contest of "the most beautiful photo of Carnival of Flowers" this Tuesday, September 18th, 2012 at the Press Centre of the Ministry in the presence of 59 participants and representatives of the press. Jean Pierre Michel won the first prize for the professional category while Yves Montoban is the winner in the amateur category of contest of "the most beautiful photo of Carnival of Flowers."
