Requiem Mass in memory of January 12, 2010

Consulate of the Republic of Haiti to Orlando inform the Haitian Community of the center of Florida, that in memory of the victims of the earthquake of January 12, 2010 in Haiti, a requiem mass will be sung Friday, January 11, 2013 at 6:00 pm, by Father Gaétan Boursiquot at St James Cathedral located at 215 N ranks Ave, Orlando, FI 32801. The Consulate of the Republic of Haiti to Orlando relies on the presence of everyone and asks them, to observe a minute of silence January 12 to 4:53 p.m. at the time of this tragedy.

Mercedes Foucard Guignard, passed away

Saturday Mercedes Foucard Guignard, alias Deita, writer, storyteller, playwright and self ethnographer and ardent defender of Creole, passed away for a better world. All our condolences to his family, his friends and relatives.

2 new mobile kitchens

Saturday the Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) announced that the Government Martelly-Lamothe added 2 new mobile kitchens, to expand the program "Kantin mobil" throughout the national territory. This program was launched on 26 September 2012, since then more than 100,000 meals were delivered and Saturday, 8,000 meals were distributed to Savanne Pistache and Carrefour-feuille. The program "Kantin mobil" is a sub-program of "Aba Grangou", which is part of the global program "Ede Pep".
