Rapprochement between the PNH and the Community

Friday, March 1st at the Municipal Palace of Delmas, the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the municipalities of Port-au-Prince, Delmas and Cité Soleil, in partnership with Viva Rio and the section of the Community Violence Reduction (RVC) of the Minustah, will proceed to the launch of the project "Programme of rapprochement between the PNH and the Community." This project aims to improve the situation of public security in 18 neighborhoods of Bel Air, Delmas and Down Town of Cité Soleil by creating areas of convergence around sub-police stations to enable better collaboration between the State represented by the police and civil society actors.

New Director General at Ministry of Agriculture

Thomas Jacques, Minister of Agriculture, has proceeded to the installation of the agronomist, Pierre-Guy Lafontant as new Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture. Mr. Lafontant replaces to the position the Agronomist, Lyonel Valbrun who has spent over 4 years in this position. Mr. Lafontant. thanked the President Martelly, for having made ​​choice of him and promised to assist the Minister of Agriculture to land the Government directives.
