3 foreigners arrested at the international airport

Saturday, during a joint operation Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, 3 foreigners, two Colombians and one Venezuelan were arrested in possession 350.880 U.S. dollars. They are suspected of money laundering and drug trafficking.

New fishing center in Bainet

Saturday, March 17, was inaugurated in Bainet a new fishing center, thanks to the support of Government of Haiti and the Spanish Cooperation. The Centre is managed by the Union of Fishermen's Organisations of Bainet.

Social integration through football practice

Monday, Magalie Racine, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), has welcomed at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, a group of young people under 15 years old, trained in Brazil for 1 year in the framework of program "Social integration through football practice". This program sports-studies, s the result of a partnership between the MJSAC, the Brazilian Cooperation and Ole Brazil.

Seminar on international tax evasion

Wednesday, March 20, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) organizes a seminar on "international tax evasion" together with the "Centre de Rencontres et d’Études des Dirigeants des Administrations Fiscales" (CREDAF). The kick off of this event will be given on Wednesday at 8:00 am at the hotel "Royal OASIS" in Petion-Ville.
