Diversion of pieces of evidence in the case Clifford Brandt

Two clerks Jean Laurent and Serge Honoré, of the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince have been accused of having diverted documents relating to the case of Clifford Brandt and stealing nearly 4,000 U.S. dollars confiscated under this case. They were arrested and detained to the sub station of Canapé-vert before being transferred to the National Penitentiary. Me Lucmane Delille, the Government Commissioner indicated that these diversion of these parts, could compromise the trial of Clifford Brandt.

Each basket of solidarity costs $12

The program "Panye Solidarite" initiated in October 2012, has a budget of 12 million U.S. dollars for a period of 12 months. All products constituting these baskets of solidarity come from 100% of local production [rice, peas, corn, tomato paste, spaghetti, salt etc...] and allows producers a market for their products while contributing to agricultural recovery. Each basket of solidarity cost USD$12.

OPC on the jury of candidates magistrates

Last week, at the request of the Service of Cooperation and Cultural Action of the Embassy of France in Haiti, the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC) participated in the Jury of the oral interview of candidates for the initial round of training of judges of the National School of Magistrates (ENM) which will run from September 2013 to July 2014.

A philosophical approach" of the philosopher Alain Deneault, holder of a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Paris-VIII and teaches the "Critical thinking" in the Department of Political Science at the University of Montreal.
