Mayor of Haitian descent in North Miami

Tuesday, Lucie Trondeau native of the Vallée de Jacmel, who left Haiti when she was still a child, an active member of the Haitian community, was elected Mayor of North Miami, with 4,058 votes in favor (55.70%) against 3,227 (44.30%) for hir opponent Kevin Burns. Ms. Trondeau replaces to this position, the Haitian-American, André Pierre.

Pierre Richard Casimir in Guatemala

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Haiti, Pierre Richard Casimir, participates in the 43rd General Assembly of the OAS, which runs from June 4 to 6 in La Antigua (Guatemala) under the theme "Toward a Comprehensive Anti-Drugs Policy in the Americas".

116 million seedlings

The Ministry of the Environment announced that 116 million seedlings will be planting by the Ministry over the next three years, and that with the efforts undertook by the Government forest cover will increase from 1.4% to 4.2% over the next three years.

Nomination to the MHAVE
