Mirlande Manigat candidate in 2016
Mirlande Manigat, of the Rally of Progressive National Democrats (Rassemblement des Démocrates Nationaux Progressistes, RDNP) losing candidate in the last presidential election, said on a radio station in the capital "If God wants and if my countrymen want, yes, I will be still a presidential candidate," adding, however, that it was not the current priority of RDNP.
