Seizure of narcotic
Thursday, around 7:00 pm the police officers of the sub-station of Petit-Goâve, during a searches operation aboard a bus providing transport Miragoâne/Port-au-Prince, seized a pound of marijuana. Having been unable to identify the owner of such drugs, Me Dumerzier, the substitute of the Government Commissioner, placed in custody by order of the Chief Commissioner Alix Civil, the bus driver Jean Robert Pierre Louis. Security Paper for the National Archives
Friday morning, Jean Wilfrid Bertrand, Director of the National Archives and Claude Raymond, the Director of Immigration and Emigration, presented to the press the security paper used now by the National Archives to put an end to activities illegal of counterfeiters.
Guy Lamothe, Ambassador to Mexico and Belize
Wednesday, Guy Lamothe, the current ambassador of Haiti in Mexico, presented his credentials to the Governor General Colville Young, in the capital of Belize, Belmopan. Guy Lamothe will be Ambassador of Haiti in Mexico and Belize.
Launch of the book « Ailleurs ici »...
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Haitians living abroad and C3 Editions, launched in Petionville the book "Ailleurs ici" (Elsewhere here). This work directed by Daniel Supplice, the former Minister of MHAVE and writer Jean Euphèle Milcé is a collection of stories, testimonies of members of the Haitian diaspora returned to Haiti to share their experiences.
