USAID has $200 million for Haiti

Thursday, John Groarke, the new representative of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Haiti, informed that the institution had a budget of $ 200 million for projects in the country and that this amount will be managed by NGOs, according to the priorities defined by the Government of Haiti.

Mission of businessmen

A mission of businessmen operating in the sectors of construction industry (Building Public Works), communication, health, energy, water and sanitation, will meet from 25 to 29 November 2013, organizations and international donors, actors and partners of public/private in Haiti. The mission is organized by UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development, together with the Ministry of Overseas and in partnership with the Franco-Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFHCI), the Regions of the Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Guyana, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Martinique, Guadeloupe Expansion, the Club ADEME International.
