Blood transfusion always saves lives and improves health, but many Haitian patients who need it do not have timely access to safe blood. Until now, deaths have been recorded because of this lack, which is so vital. An adequate and secure blood supply should be an integral part of any national health policy and of the health infrastructure in the country.

In response to this overwhelming situation, the Haitian Red Cross and the National Program for Transfusion Safety (PNST) have launched an awareness campaign in public administrations and a donation of blood to the National Airport Authority (NAA).

As part of the mission, the AAN encourages its employees to participate in this major campaign to collect blood donations to save lives, a generous action and a civic responsibility.
