iciHaiti - Tourism : Official visit of the Secretary General of the CTO
On Thursday, Hugh Riley, the Secretary General of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), who is paying an official visit to Haiti from August 10 to 12 in Haiti, was received at the diplomatic lounge of the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, by the Minister of Tourism, Colombe Emilie Jessy Menos before meeting Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant in his private residence.

During his stay, the Secretary General will meet various stakeholders in the tourism sector as well as the technical staff of the Ministry of Tourism.

Friday, Minister Menos, Andy Durosier, Hugh Riley and his Assistant Faye Gill held an important meeting with representatives of various associations working in the sector and several executives from the Ministry of Tourism. "The energy of the operators operating in tourism in Haiti today seems to be exciting," said Hugh Riley, adding that "it is important for Haitian actors to build on what makes Haiti a unique destination and special in the region instead of interfering in the competition."

With the technical executives of the Ministry Hugh Riley, continued the day with a working session on tourism marketing.

This day ended with a visit to the hotel infrastructure of the Royal Decameron indigo, on the Côte des Arcadins.
